DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process

The DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DoDI 8510.01) Instruction was released on November 28, 2007. The DoDI 8510.01, immediately supersedes the existing DIACAP C&A Guidance and replaces DITSCAP guidance under DoDI 5200.40 and DoD 8510.1-M.

The DoDI 8510.01 Instructions mandates each DoD component to implement a comprehensive information security program for its systems based on Information Assurance (IA) Controls defined in DoD Directive (DODD) 8500.1 and DoD Instruction (DoDI) 8500.2.
